think! Youth Entrepreneurship Camp, Summer 2008
think!
is an Entrepreneurial Camp for Youth—a new program from the
Missouri Women’s Business Center and the GO Connection.
Our goal is to encourage young people to reach their
full potential.
We strive to instill in our participants a hunger for
education and a passion for self-reliance.
Our mission is for the participants to understand
that big dreams are realized through determination.
The
think!
camps are residential camps held on a college campus.
Students will learn business skills, build a business plan, meet
local business owners and gain an overall awareness of the crucial role
that small business plays in the economy.
As proof that college is an attainable goal, participants who
complete the program will receive three
hours of college credit from the University of
Missouri, Kansas City.
think!
needs your
help. We are building this new program through the generosity of our
partners and funders with the capable assistance of a dedicated steering
committee. It is our
sincere hope that you will assist us in our mission to develop the next
generation of entrepreneurial thinkers. Just
think! of what a
difference you can make in the life of a budding young business person.
The Missouri Women’s Business Center is now offering focus groups!
Focus groups are a great tool to gain objective feedback for a product or service. We will arrange for an experimental test group of people in your target market to try out your newest product or service. You can then use the information from the focus group to alter or fine tune the product before releasing it to the public.
For more information or to sign up for a focus group, call the MWBC at (816) 235-6146.

Business Owners ... Feeling Lonely at the Top?
If you’re the "CEO" of your business, you know how lonely it can be at the top. There’s no one to consult with on big decisions, or strategic directions. You can’t talk to your employees, and it’s not exactly the conversation you have at a networking event. You need a trusted group. A group that understands your frustrations and concerns. A group that has walked in your shoes.
Peer Mentoring Roundtables. Groups of 8-10 women business owners—coming together to move their businesses forward. Each of these groups are facilitated by an experienced advisor. Our staff will help determine which group would provide the most benefit for your business. Click here to read about the roundtable facilitators.
